    Did the kids draw on the actual fabric? What did you put on the fabric to protect the image when the quilt is washed?

    Yes they drew on the fabric with permanent markers. I heat set them with a hot iron and a press cloth. No color came off so I am pretty sure it won't wash out, maybe fade a little is all
    The kids were not real excited about drawing, but the lady I made this for said they had fits over it when they saw there picture on a quilt
