Tartan, when I make your version of the blocks I plan to set them just as you have. When you have more blocks just lay them out in this manner and step 'way' back to see it better.
I would be making mine for charity quilts and in the end would make neat 'I Spy' quilts.

Added bonus- I was able to use up dark green, blue, purple and brown bobbins that only had a little thread left on them with my black on the spool.

I think we all must have scraps elves; like in the shoemaker and the elves; but in our case; the elves make MORE scraps. But I LOVE scrappy quilts, so. Just not enough time to get them made. Cute block and such tiny pieces.

Love this idea. Going to clean up my scraps with this block as soon as my UFO's are all finished! (only 7)

What happens when you get someone else's scraps?

If you have your scraps set aside, use as leader enders as you work on your ufo's. Two projects closer done.

Love it. Thanks for sharing. Like anything that will help take care of my mess. I recently spent a great deal of time sewing my bits of batting together. This will take care of both. BrendaK
