Default Place mats

Made some old fashioned Rocking Horse mats today,,,these were pre quilted but I added my own quilting to anchor the backing and batting..

I have been showing friends how to do you octagon table toppers. Now I just need to get sewing some.

Those are nice. Did you do the binding as well? I have yet to attempt a circular binding.

Love them, they remind me of my younger brother, he always carried around a small wooden rocking horse as a baby. Thanks for the memory!

Very nice placemats. I have bought pre-quilted fabric on special and used it for small projects too. The last set of placemats I did out of it, I cut and did the binding. I then snipped the thread on the back of the pre-quilted mats and pulled it out. It was quite easy and then I quilted them myself by machine around the motifs. You would never know they had ever been pre-quilted after washing them.
