Still At A Loss
I recently finished and pinned a Hunter's Star Quilt and now I'm stuck on how to quilt it. I posted a thread asking to see pics of how others have quilted and I received a good suggestion from BellaBoo, but I'm still not sure. So, I thought I would post a picture of the fabrics that went into the quilt. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to do an all over design, but that's as far as I've gotten toward making a decision.

The first thing I would do it stabilize the sandwich by SITD on all the seams. Once that was done I would use my plastic sheet and dry erase markers to preview quilting designs for inside the sections.
You can make you own preview sheet by buying clear tablecloth plastic, use masking or painter's tape around all for sides and your ready. The tape on the edges is so you don't accidentally run off the edge of the plastic with the dry erase marker onto your quilt.

I found this site last week...they have patterns for hunter star that could give you some ideas. I haven't purchased from there (yet).

Thanks everyone! I was thinking that the pattern lent itself really well to feathers and ferns, especially with the swirls in there, but I really wasn't sure. I didn't want to make the quilting too busy for the fabrics. These fabrics do appear very busy, but a lot of the business in the black has to do with the lighting. Standing back a few feet, you can see a hint of the swirls, but not really. So, I was thinking of doing some convex echo stitching in the stars, as BellaBoo suggested, but really have no idea about the triangles/parallelogram combos.

I would do SID oin the stars and maybe the triangles. How big is the area for the green? and what does your batting package say for quilting area? I would do kind of swirly/meandering pattern in the green with matching thread- not too close but enough to hold the quilt together. I personnally prefer to see less qulting and more of the fabric/quilt pattern.
