Scrappy pillow for a young soccer player
My daughter has played soccer since kindergarten and is mow playing in college. I just found out that my cousin's 12 year old granddaughter is very much into soccer too. All of my cousins were quite a bit older than me, but we have reconnected on Facebook, of all places! My cousin asked me if I would make a pillow for her granddaughter's birthday, so I made this scrappy pillow with a soccer theme. There was no need to quilt it because it is small. I added one of my daughter's broken bracelets (it says...you go girl) to it. She loved it! I had so much fun making it. I just might have to make more of these! Now, when my daughter is finished with her soccer career (next year...sniff) I will have another young soccer player to watch! : )
Love the bracelet idea.

Thank you! I did wish I had more of those bracelets... I think it kind of "made" the pillow! I can probably get beads or buttons somewhere that look like typewriter keys.. or something similar, though!
