well when I get bored with a project or can't decide what to work on I grab scraps and just start sewing them together :-D well I started this during x-mas break. i hope to make a queen size for Dh and me. I think I will tie the quilt and I plan to use larger pieces of scraps for the back, maybe large squares or strips only. i think right now it is about a crib size.

A true, true scrappy. Looks like it'll be lots of fun for cozy nights together!

Oh yeah, I do this too!!!

Actually whenever you finish cutting for a quilt, grab the excess and make up a block then, of the colors in that quilt... (mine are 9x9)....
toss into the scrap box, made already. Eventually you end up with blocks and blocks and each one will remind you of a specific quilt!

great idea! i don't measure mine just try to fit pieces of the same size together. maybe a specific block size will be a future scrappy!!

most of my scraps are just from trying to square up blocks or strips. also from trimming down blocks.
