Welcome to the Quilting Board!

OMG this is wonderful! You must be having so much fun making it!
Bernina 440QE
Bernina 1150 serger
Janome 1000CPX coverstitch
More scrappies finished. All were leader/ender and worked on when making other quilts or blocks. Thanks for looking.
The quilt is made of bricks (2"x3 1/2") & leftover sashing strips from another quilt & a spare block I have in the center. It can be used as I spy & also for counting (there are 2 or more of each fabric, so they can count how many they see of each fabric). It will be a donation quilt for this month's guild.
The tablerunners are all scrap squares for 4-patch or 9-patch...the solid squares are leftover backing from previous runners last year.

Fantastic crazy quilt! Love all the extras on it from the Battenburg lace to the family pics! That's what I call a really crazy quilt! Great job!![]()
How beautiful!!!!!! If I was rich I would take one of each LOL I am new to the quilting scene, so new I have not even bought material to make a quilt yetI love to crochet & thought I would give it a try since Maw Maw Jessie was a quilter & I would sit for hour watching her sew all these little pieces of clothe together by hand . Y'all's quilts are amazing!!!! After getting on here & seeing the quilts y'all are making, I am about to skiddle back to my hooks & yarn
. I just don't get how you can get all the fancy designs with the thread in the middle of the quiltsv
. Maw Maw Jessie was the best quilter in the world, there will never be anybody better cause she did it all by hand, each & every little stitch, around designs, flowers, or whatever was on the clothe to add that extra special touch. She didn't use the sewing machine cause she said her hands weren't broke, they worked just fine. I think I am just bout scared
LOL I won't run away,
I'll hang out for a bit & have a look around. Right now, I am gonna drink more coffee & admire more scrappy quilts, amazingly awesome scrappy quilts.

SEW glad you are going to stick around! It could be easy to feel intimidated by what others are posting but if you stay on here long enough, you will soon realize that
*everyone started out as a beginner at one point
*there is a myriad of techniques, styles, etc. to learn
*everyone is willing to help walk you through getting started
*there are plenty of those on here who not only are beginners but they are in their golden stage of life (It's never too late to begin)
*and you don't have to start out with full size quilts: mug rugs, placemats, doll quilt size, they work too!

I know that I'm a few bricks short of a load, but how do I go back to the REAL page 1 of this thread. When I clicked on the little box with the 1 in it, it only went back to the reply I just posted.
Anyway, if I can, am going to include pictures of what I'm working on now - all scraps - trying desperately to work on my lifetime plus stash. Is there a name for this block?
Well, shucky durn - how in the world do I insert pictures? I clicked on the icon above that says "insert image", then clicked OK (that I want the pix to come from my computer) and it comes right back to this screen, but doesn't give me the opportunity to pick WHERE the picture is. Dum de dum dum.

Welcome to the group mbethwright. You will love how helpful everyone here is. Got a question? You will receive an answer or.....a lot of compassionate folks who have tried it this way or that. I love reading all the different ideas and opinions. And looking at all of the quality work everyone is doing is so inspiring.

Love scrappy quilts! Makes me think of the ladies of old times that only had scraps to use in their quilts. All are beautiful.
Live and let live!
