I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I completed one as a memory quilt in blue. My scraps were actually my parents clothing. They passed away just 5 years apart at relatively early ages. My brother that received it as a gift cried when I gave it to him which was fine because I cried the entire time I worked on it.

Scrappy quilts are my favorite. I like them both. I like the blue a little better, but I like the quilting on the red. Either way, they are winners!
