This is such a cute idea. At every game each girl was given a strip of fabric ( 2"w x 21" l) to wear as a head band during the game. They were a symbol of the team and solidarity. Everything from A to Z is represented in each strip from angels to zebras. Her school colors are Navy and white so the accents represent her school. The "Star" is her favorite color, maroon.

I have to say I enjoyed making this quilt so much for her and IMHO, it did turn out well.

wow, that looks like a lot of work. Did you use the spider web ruler? I really like your piano key border... it compliments the webs in your quilt top.

I use Bonnie Hunters method. paper piecing is so easy for me when doing this pattern. i love her scrappy style.

I hope every one gives this a try, even a table topper or wall hanging. The spiderweb is so versatile and a fun way to use scraps and leftovers.
