Default Second attempt.

I'm a novice quilter, which might be a generous evaluation, but here is my second top pieced and ready for batting and backing. This quilt pattern and project by Kim Brackett is found on p82 in the McCall's Quilting Jan/Feb 2010

My very first quilt would be a first rate furniture pad.(second attachment)

I think you are way too hard on yourself. Both look fine to me, not even considering they are first quilts. Your corner matching is great. Good job on both.

Like most quilters you are being way too hard on yourself. People view the quilt as a whole. You made it and you know every tiny little bobble. But I don't see them. I don't look for them. I think both quilts look like great. You should be so proud.

Another vote for you are too hard on yourself. As a novice your choice of projects is intricate...congratulations on a job well done.

Those are pretty doggone good for a novice. The 2nd one is really, really pretty and I'm sure it will be awesome when it's quilted. Give yourself a pat on the back.

Your quilts are just fine, love the 2nd one. You sure didn't start out like a lot of people do with a simple 9 patch! You are doing great, keep it up.

Wow are you sure you are a beginner? I love the second project which is now on my to do list. Soon you will be addicted and no longer a hobby but a passion. Keep going.

Both your quilts are great! Your second has improved and so will be your third, forth, fifth .....If my first quilt had been that good, I would have been thrilled.
