I collect button too, I have tons and tons. Recently I gave some away. I have alot of mother of pearl which I treasure. I have some on cards that were the sample button. They show the different colors and sizes.

I cannot get enough buttons! Funny, I never use that many for practical reasons but I just love the colors. I have clear containers and keep them stacked on my bookshelf. They always make me smile and remind me of when I was a little girl playing in my grandmother's sewing room.
