Very nice & good idea for using up.
My Grma had 9 kids, so her quilts were all used foto keep warm. All had the gray wool blankets as batting & were ties.Every bed had a couple of what we called Grma's covers.

Lovely quilt. I've thought of using an old blanket as batting for a quilt for DS, but haven't gotten to it yet. I have my daddy's old wool quilt from his army days that we never use because it's so heavy. I wonder if we'd use it in a quilt.
