Instead of using batting I used a very thick old wool blanket. The blanket was mine as a child and then my kids used it so it has plenty sentimental value but it was a wreck. So I decided to use it in this quilt. It was difficult to quilt as it was rather thick and some of my blocks got distorted. It now has a new life and will be a firm favourite!
