Default Set of 4 Placemats

I have the Handiquilter Sweet 16 sit down quilting machine and finally decided to get serious about learning how to do my own free motion quilting. I decided to try my hand at some placemats and if they came out really bad, i would use them under the dog's dish. All four have different color thread on them and each has a specific design. The heart is my own, the dragonfly is from Ann Peterson's Craftsy class, Beyond Basic Machine Quilting. The butterfly is from a picture of a tattoo and the very talented Lori Kennedy from The Inbox Jaunt gets the credit for the bird. It's not nearly as cute as hers as I just tried to draw it on my placemat with okay results.

Beautiful FMQing. Hopefully I will take my first FMQ class in February, that is depending on if the weather is pleasant enough for me to drive to the St. Louis LQS. The temperature was 13 today although the local schools held classes. This is perfect weather to quilt.

I love your designs! I'm new to LA and I see some things in your work that I would like to learn.
