My girls enjoyed learning to use my featherweight. They were very careful with it.

That is so precious!! How nice to have those special moments with your granddaughters. Makes me miss my Grammie...she taught me how to knit when I was 9. My first project was a pair of slippers, I was so proud of them and remember they were grey lol.

Your granddaughters are adorable. How nice to be able to spend time sewing with them. I can't wait until my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter and I can do projects like this together. Thanks for sharing your pics with us!

My mom has a treadle that she does all sewing/ mending/ quilting with. My sister and I and two SIL's can't make it 'go right' but my 9 year old GD sat down, said she wanted to make a Barbie dress and that is exactly what she did! Mom says when she dies, she knows just who that machine is going to. lol
