    Ideas in my sewing room.
1)Design wall made out of cork board cut in strips. And I use steel pins to pin the cork board into the sheet rock.
2)Thread Catcher~I use a clear plastic container and put all my threads in, decorative as well as practical.
3)Design wall positioned to be seen from a distance. This is how I look at a customer's quilt to see what it calls for.
4)Colorful Rubber floor mats, this is for my comfort. Standing by my long arm for hours can be exhausting.
5)Pink light by my sewing machine, Ikea! $10 what a good buy.
6)Made an Ironing board above my fabric storage, this is great if you have wheels on your sewing chair.
7)Ruler holder~green basket holds my rulers, and patterns I need to go through.
    8)Sewing desk~free from a school. Its perfect/and the right $.

    Tv Cabinet~purchased off Craig's List

I am drooling! I get a corner of the kitchen table IF I want to spend 20 min setting everything up and then have it scooted for homework and scooted for dinner and . . . well you get the idea. Ahh someday tho, (20yrs) when the kids are older I WILL have a sewing room!!
Yours looks lovely, well orginized as well. nice work :-D

enjoyed your pictures of your great sewing room. I especially liked the wall quilt of the white trumpet vine flowers. Is there a pattern available for that quilt?

We have a 7 bedroom farm house, down to 1 teen! The only reason it looks so organized is because I have to widdle (sp) down my 2 rooms upstairs I use for sewing storage. DD moving home with 2 GD, will change my world as I know it. I have one room just for my Rolls of batting, I think there are 5 large rolls on a rack now. My DS will take the batting room.

My sewing room is a bright room, bay window, looking out towards the front yard. I love it.

That is The Dutch Quilter's pattern, you can google it. I posted other Hot Ribbon Quilts, these couple on that wall are my to do list. Gorgeous isn't it. Can't wait.
