Hello everyone. A long-time friend whose son's mother-in-law wants to give up sewing and get rid of all of her fabrics........do you see where this is going? Yes, the two of us have been blessed with a stash that will take us a year to use. We are planning to make charity quilts for Project Linus and our county's battered women's center. I washed and iron 36 yards this afternoon and this is barely a start in empty several tubs of fabric. Seems this lady would find a focus fabric and then purchase 2 yards of at least 3 other coordinating fabrics. Somehow the materials would get folded together and put aside, never to see the light of a sewing machine. Oh my, we are both overwhelmed at this point but we can see 40 x 60 quilts mounting. Just as soon as I get my granddaughter's wall hanging quilted, I am going to dig into these beautiful fabrics.

That's great!! I can't wait to see what you make with all that wonderful fabric! It's so nice when we get surprises like that, isn't it? It's like Christmas in June!! :D
Happy quilting!

The fabric will make so many wonderful quilts for so many who need that special touch of love! Thank you to you and your friend for making all of those Linus quilts!
