Koala cabinets and others online should have parts to make it a lift table.

what a great cabinet. i just took one to my church that had been donated for our sewing group. it is perfect as is the machine that it was made for. a VIKING HUSQAVARNA. top of the line. from the book that came with the machine i'd say it is early to mid 70's. isn't the cabinet handy? and solid wood.
wish i could offer tips on making your machine fit. i'll bet someone who is a wood worker/cabinet maker could retrofit for you. good luck.

Jeanette, do you know a cabinet maker? The lifts can be sourced online (I think the best are made in Germany), my DH found them when he was planning on making me a table. Also, a cabinet maker can adjust the opening, larger or smaller, and finish it for you. If you aren't familiar with cabinet makers, they can also be found under "millwork" in the phone book. (My husband's first trade is cabinet making.)

Could you remove the center top and make a replacement to fit your machine? You could trace the bottom of your machine to cut a new hole.

BTW, I have that same machine.
