I feel that I need to tell you, that the first one is the hardest to send away to college, I cried all the way home to Ohio from
Wisconsin. Only one of our six children was remotely close, but a two hour drive, none the less. We now have grandchildren in college, one is attending the University of Queensland in Australia. OK, truth be told, it gets a "little bit"
easier after the first. I love your attitude, and making it fun is so important. I think that with Skype, e-mail and cell phones you can keep in touch with her, whenever you are needing to. That is what we do, I don't know how big your family is, but now that we have grown to number 26, I have started what we call the "Sunday News" I usually know what is going on in the different families. On Sunday, I condense it all into our news letter, they love it, and will reply
with comments etc. We have found this really fun.

BTW, my son and DIL just moved back to my area from Blue Springs. They had a cute 1930's hand crafted cottage style house on Lake Tapawingo. I really loved it there. Blue Springs is a very pretty area and I loved walking the trails in the parks and around the lakes. However, I'm very glad to have them only an hour away now.
KathyKat, Blue Springs is a nice area. I grew up in Kansas City, MO, so this was an easy move when I got married. But, I do agree with you that it is nice having our kids closer to home.
