Shooting Stars quilt - UFO top done
#1
Working through my UFOs. This was one of the very first quilts I ever started. I did most of the work on my old machine and OMG, I really can recognize how much I improved. Which made it difficult to finish this quilt, since the points were awful! But I made it work and can appreciate how much I've grown as a quilter.
This was originally intended for a business partner's son, but we haven't spoken in 3-4 years, so this is now going to my old boss' son, Ian (thankfully I hadn't done the applique when I put this down 3-4 years ago). I had given a quilt to the boss' daughter, but didn't have one for Ian. So I hope to get it quilted for Xmas.
I designed the pattern myself. There are 2 inspirational quotes, that I can't remember what they say. But they're good :D And applique is by hand, reverse applique. I'm very proud of myself on that, since it's one of my first applique pieces.
