I am making a lap quilt for my great aunt who turns 87 in a couple weeks. I bought most of this fabric together in a bundle at the Paducah show.

I am thinking a D9P would be goods. I plan on useing the dark blues and the browns for the skinny parts of the patch. The browns will probably be mostly the smallest square of the D9P. Maybe the greens and browns for the skinny parts. Oh my, I just cant decide.

Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Need something quick, yet not too plane.

Thanks a bunch!

or maybe this would be good? I'm leaning toward this one now. Just found it in my April 2009 Quilters World mag. It is called Blue Betty by Darlene Leosh.

So any opinions?

I like this one! I looked for it in my Quilters World but I couldn't find it--now you got me searching through them all!

well ladies, I think Blue Betty it is. I also have some more lighter blues I can add and maybe get rid of the second brown from the left. the first one is actually a blrown with blue lines of paisely. She likes blues and the greens will help it coordinate with her apartment we just moved her to.
