My mom picked this pincushion up for me at a yard sale. It had a yucky brown fabric that had seen better days so I recovered it. It is one of my favorite tools!

I collect 1930 -1950 stuff so this goes right along my other collectibles! Those are old sewing machine drawers in the background. I use them for storage.

Would love to see your pincushions!!

I took the pegs off of the left side because I load 9-10 needles and put them over that left side. That way they are ready when I need them and I don't have to take time to rethread every time I need a needle and thread.

I just love your pin cushion treasure. It look's so nice with it's new upholstery!! :D I also love the older pin cushions, they have so much character, don't they? :D

I made this one about a year ago, but I am happy to share it with you. Good luck with your collecting.

Oh, beautiful both of them! I like the way your little chair has posts for the threads! I don't have a pin cushion yet! Saw one recently through a link from Izy where the base was a CD - will make it one day! http://ivoryblushroses.blogspot.com/...label/Tutorial

That would be great!

BTW, could you go and post 2 or 3 separate messages on the cam is up thread? I think I'm getting multiple alerts and admin has asked me to check. Just say hi 3 times or something! Thanks!
