Default 'Words We Love'

I have been playing Scrabble with my son since he was in grade school. Since he now lives across the country from me, we are relegated to play online: Words With Friends on Facebook. He recently renovated his 'man cave', so of course, I wanted to help decorate!
The quilt is all of our family names, plus a few extra words that have special meaning. Since I was the one to create the quilt, I got to add the word Quilts!! I made a graph of the FB game for my pattern. It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, because I wanted to only use certain words - and not just fill the spaces with any random words. I told my long armer that I wanted alphabet quilting, but didn't want it to look like kid's a-b-c's. She found the block letters, and it worked perfect.
I named the quilt "Words We Love" He will be home May 1st for a visit, am so excited to present it to him.

P.S. 16 words, 211 points!!

What a terrific quilt! And you found the perfect fabric for the border. This was a great idea. Your son will love it.

Love this idea. How did you put the letters onto the blocks? Are they embroidered or done with pigma pen? And where did you find the scrabble fabric. LOVE the ABC quilting too. Perfect.
