Simple Christmas quilt and French Door panel quilt.
#1
I wend to Walmart last night so I can get a Santa panel to make a Christmas quilt. As I was looking, I remembered I had done a simple Christmas quilt a couple of months ago. We were decorating our house and I just thought I felt empty with out a holiday quilt to go along with it. I plan on making some more to drape over the other love seat and foot stool!
My husband asked me to make a quilt panel for our French doors that go into my sewing room. They are going to be different. This is a picture of the first one. I did not put batting, only quilted the top to the backing. (since really it is going to be used for a 'curtain') I have not gotten the other door done yet. But I think this first panel turned out pretty good.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I am off to make some presents now.

Thank you ladies!
I really didnt follow a pattern. I had some strips of 2 1/2 x 6 1/2 and sewed three strips together then took it to the cutting mat and cut diagonally from one corner to another corner. BUT I had to watch which corner I was cutting or it wouldnt have matched when I was sewing it back together again. Then I just randomly picked the cut pieces and sewed them back together.
Look at the panel...bottom right corner...see it is different? Well, that shows where I made a mistake on counting the wrong corner LOL
