Default Simple Rail Fence Quilt

This was my 2nd quilt. I completed it in 2000. I made it for a good friend who, at the time, was my Bunco secret sis. While dog sitting for her one weekend, I went up to her bedroom and wrote down all the colors she had decorated in and then made the quilt to match as best I could. It was my Christmas present to her and I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her.

My friend is now with my husband and I and we are caring for her on hospice. She asked for her quilt but I couldn't find one in her stuff. When I was going through some bedding today she had brought with her, I found this quilt. It's a little faded now, from lots of use and lots of washings. I'm so happy to find it in such used condition and now I have a picture of it.!

Bless you for caring and loving your friend. Those acts of kindness and love will come back to you many times. I think your quilt is really pretty and one I would love and cherish like your friend does. This story made me very happy. Angels watch over you, even as you care for your dear friend.

What a lovely quilt and I can tell it was made with love. My prayers are with you, your friend, and your husband. What a joy that you have her with you. You are truly a good friend. Take good care. Care givers need respite some times.
