LOVE this mug rug. Never thought of using decorative stitches. I have a lot of odd size skinny fabric scraps that I've saved and thought I would play around with sewing them together to see what I came up with. Now I know exactly what I'm going to make with them. So glad you posted this.

What batting did you use? I have lots of Warm & Natural scraps if you think that would work.

Thank you Nancy! I think you need a selvage with the Princess wording,too! Yes, the batting does extend beyond the seam line. It keeps the wavy edges flat since I used fusible batting.

Yes , they are quick to make and sewing friends would appreciate them. Some selvages have fun wording that just fits a person's name or favorite theme like holiday fabric. Have fun making them.
