Singer 3171275-built in 1879
#1
I have been lurking around the board for a couple years looking at all of your beautiful pictures but have never posted until now. I need some help! My wonderful boyfriend bought me this for our 6th anniversary and we can't find any information on it. I have been in contact with the folks at talktous@singer; they gave me some info but it was not right. She e mailed me later and told me it might be an industrial machine and she needed a couple days to see what she could find. I'm patiently waiting for her response but thought I would come to the board for everyone's opinions and knowledge. Any help anyone could give me would be totally appreciated. Oh and another thing, the lady at talktous@singer told me that my serial numbers are not long enough to be a serial number but they are the only ones I can find. I really appreciate any help anyone can give me. Isn't she awesome!! We got her in an antique store and her price was $185 but they took $90 on her!

Look for Billy a.k.a. Lostin51 here on the board. He is our resident antique sewing machine Guru here ;) .
If you go to Home then check in links and references you should see his thread there.
Beautiful machine by the way. Have fun with her and welcome to the Board from Portland,Oregon.
