I found this on the net a while ago and saved it because I thought it was clever. I don't know who it was for or who made it. If it were mine, I wouldn't be able to cut into it.
Just thought I would share some cake.

Is that Russian? A few years ago someone sent me a whole bunch of absolutely out of this world unbelievable PICTURES of cakes that were made in Russia. They must have taken days to make, they were like this one, made you want to hunt for a plug in to see if it would work!!

They make cakes like this (not sewing machine, just fancy) on the TLC show Cake Boss all the time. It breaks my heart when I see the people eating them. I think they're works of art. But I guess a cake is a cake.

I didn't think it was really a cake at first glance. Amazing.

That is an amazing cake. For my husband's 60th Birthday earlier this year I managed to find someone to make him a special cake through the regional cake decorating society. The lady worked from home and had photos and examples of her work in glass cases. They were truly beautiful. Her speciality was weddings/christenings lots of very realistic flowers, lace etc.

Here it used to be relatively easy to find someone to do this kind of work, but now it's a dying art. Maybe it will have a revival.
