These beauties belong to a lady who passed away about eight years ago. I have cleaned out the basement and was told I could keep them. I have no idea if they work, but one of them is threaded. They seem to be from a slightly different year because their lights on the back are different. They are numbered and have fancy paint on them. Can anyone tell me the approximate year and maybe if they are worth anything? I might keep one for my sewing room (still under construction). They really are pretty even to just look at if they do not work. They are definitely heavy as if they were made of iron or steel.

If you go to Singers web sight ( www.singerco.com) and put in the serial numbers, it will tell you the date and where it was made.

Both are beautiful machines.

Oh wow, I would keep both of them!!!
That first one looks like it could be a 201, which is a great machine in the old Singers. You can call Singer and they will tell you exactly what you have by you just giving them the serial numbers to each machine. Here is the link with the information and phone number.

I just went to the website. The one that sits in a blonde cabinet was made in 1956 and there were 50,000 issued. The one in the darker cabinet (I think I called it #2) was built on July 11, 1950. It is model 105 and 50,000 of those were made. Both sewing machines are older than me.
