Red face A slight variation of the Mini Bow Tuck purse

I have now made two Mini Bow Tuck purses, and this is the latest one. I was surprised at the size of the first one that I made when I followed the normal pattern (not that it was huge, but not what I was thinking since it was a 'mini'), so I changed it a bit with this second one.

First, I made the overall size of the purse 1" smaller in height and width. Secondly, I put the pocket on the back instead of the front, and third I put the loop on the front and the button en-closer on the back. I also didn't use the side ties, either, since it was smaller and had 'less bulk'.

By the way, as usual I made this on my old Davis VF treadle, and fm quilted it on my Singer 31-15 treadle. I have to say, it really wasn't a difficult project. I consider myself a quilter and not sewer, and I made it without many problems.

Very nice! I need a big purse so i only make the bigger bow tucks. I do love them so much and I'm trying to sell the dozen I have sitting in my dining room! Anyone want one already made? $45

Did you make the pockets on the inside? I like the size and other modifications. Thanks for sharing.

I love that you moved the pocket to the back. I wish I had thought of that. There's always next time. Love the fabrics you chose. Thanks for sharing your modifications.

Yepper, I did keep the inside pockets (one of my favorite things about this purse!). Actually the pocket on the back was an oops (as was the button on the front, for that matter!), but I ended up really liking it because I keep my cell phone in it (it's the perfect size) and it's close to my body that way. I've got a big bag of vintage buttons, so I don't think I will ever run out of a variety! Thanks for all the kind comments.
