Hi all,

I had my bridal shower a few weeks ago, and I decided to make a quilt as a gift for my aunt, who hosted and planned the event. It was a big hit with everyone (I presented it to her as the first gift at the shower), and I was really happy how it turned out!

The quilt was made with about 20 fabrics from the "Freshcut" line by Heather Bailey (they were absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend them!) and white fabric. I used large Freshcut fabric pieces and scraps for the backing.

I created the pattern for this quilt based on a simple ninepatch concept. The colored fabrics were sewn into nine-patches, and the white fabric was send into nine-patches with smaller colored fabrics on the edges. Each square was about 5 inches. I quilted in a cross-hatch pattern with white thread.

The final quilt measured about 60 by 90 inches. Hope you like it!

That's really beautiful!!! The fabric is gorgeous (I now need to go check it out) and the pattern is just lovely. Great job -- and I bet that thrilled your aunt to be presented with it.
