Just had to laugh at myself! When I first saw it I liked it all except the pink border! There wasn't any pink anywhere else in the quilt-- then I realized that the pink was not part of your quilt. It is beautiful! Congratulations on a job well done.

Beautiful! The dark batik in the four corners sets it off perfectly, especially when you bound it in the same fabric. You little touch of applique in borders is sweet.

I suppose I thought of it as a little quilt and just washed it because I thought the muslin probably got oily/dirty from handling it. I guess it would have been crisper if I hadn't but I might give it a light pressing

I agree with feline fanatic, the background corners are neutral enough to not compete with the center, but strong enough to give a support to it. Of course sometimes the color in real life does look different than in a picture, so it may have a different feel for you. I really like it too.
