I saw my favorite LQS was holding a class last Monday to make this project and I thought it would be a good warm up for the large bargello I plan to start soon. It was a fun, quick and easy project.

The instructor recommended getting a gold tassel for it if it was to be a wall hanging. I think I'll use it for a table runner, but it's a great idea.

What a good job you did. The red fabric is very vibrant is it a batik or hand dyed? I would like to make one for the hubby.

You know, I decided at the last minute to go and yanked the red out of my very small stash and then purchased the white and blue at the store. The red is just a bright red with som blackish squigles. The others in the class had completely different fabric and all of them came out really nice.
