Here is my write-up for the quilt show:

Dogwood Delight

I purchased this wall hanging kit at the 2007 SMQA show. It reminded me of some of the beautiful spots on the drive to Yosemite Nat’l Park when the Dogwood is in bloom. I wish I’d looked closer at actual Dogwood blossoms before making this wall hanging. Dogwood blossoms have only four petals, though if you look closely at mine, some of the flowers have more. I guess we could make a game of it, kind of like “Where’s Waldo?” We could ask “What’s wrong with this quilt?” But then, I am not sure I want to open that question up for discussion!

PS the funny thing is that right after I submitted that write-up, a friend who had just been to Yosemite posted pictures of the dogwood in bloom on facebook, and the blossoms had more than 4 petals!

PSS I'm at work right now, but when I get home tonight, I'll get the name of the pattern maker for you.

Thanks!! I love dogwoods, having grown up in the deep south and now living in MN I find myself wanting dogwood quilts all over my house!!
