Last week or the week before I asked on the Main page about the Snippets technique. Our guild has an on-going year long Challenge to produce blocks using a given technique on a theme that each member of the guild has chosen for herself. My theme is Chickens (don't ask!). So here is the picture of my Snippets chicken and my other chickens from the guild challenge......

Circles and Curves --all the fabrics and stitching have circles and/or curves

Holy moly that's some tiny snippets....very cute chicken as well as other blocks. How did you secure all the feathers

I ironed strips of Heat and Bond lite to the top part of a narrow strip of fabric. That was the top part of the "feather" adheres but the bottom end is free from the fabric.

I estimate there are about 500 little pieces of fabric - the block measures about 9 in. X 9 in..
