I don't think it's ugly.....if you don't like it for yourself....finish it & donate it or give it someone who does.

I'd finish it & hang onto it for someone looking for those beautiful dark rich colors, or as others have suggested...donate it! I personally find it gorgeous!

you all are to kind.I guess it just looks to dark and muttled for me.I like most of the fabric but should have used more lights in it.it really does not thrill me to look at it.it was way better in my head.

My first "creative" quilt I made (after a class to learn how to quilt) was sooo ugly that I had a mixture of pride that I'd done it and shame when my daughters dropped over to visit (I think it was Thanksgiving). I have never had a quilt before or since where people almost came to polite blows because they wanted it "for their children"! It was a giant distorted butterfly on a cheap muslim backing and I used cut out bugs to anchor down the wads of fabric that had developed. You could have blown me over with a feather!

What you see and know about your quilt isn't what others see or think about it. Yours looks fine. Just don't giveit to the quilt police!

It's happened to me a few times. Especially in knitting. I will be working on it and at some point realize I dont' like how it is turning out or have lost interest in even finishing it. If it is a good yarn I will rewind it to use for another project at some other time. If the yarn is inexpensive and easy to come by I have been known to take it off the needles and throw it out!!' It was freeing to begin anew.

If you don't really like it than "put it away" and then you can rethink your fabric choices and start over. Follow your heart and do what you want to do.

It would make a great play quilt. Maybe not your typical baby quilt, but still attractive!
