Beautiful. For all those "firsts" you did a fabulous job. Love the colors, Fall colors are my favorite.

I, too, have never thought of using painter's tape for any kind of quilting. I just always use the thing that sticks out of the side of my walking foot. Your quilt is gorgeous and I'm sure your DD will get much enjoyment from it!

I love everything about your wallhanging! Such beautiful colors. Did you draw the leaf, or is it a particular applique pattern? I especially also liked the fabric you picked out for framing the block! Beautiful work!
