Default My Christmas Quilt

I made this quilt from 6 1/2 inch blocks from a I spy swap on this site. I made 63 christmas present out of the 6 1/2 inch blocks from the swap for the front and used four embroided blocks on the corners. Then I found the cute christmas tree panel to use for the back. I had a LAQ use holly pattern to quilt it. I am really happy with how it turned out.

What a great quilt. Wonderful idea to use the panel as part of the backing. Nice going!

Hooked - I have this same pattern. I've been thinking about trying a new idea: for each square you make with a present on it, if you put a backing on it--probably by the 'birthing' method so there is no binding around the edge---wouldn't they make really cute individual coasters??? That's my plan, to give those a try next week. Do you think it would work?

Love the scrappy look of the presents. Your prints look like real wrapping paper.
