I've learnt so much from this board and received so much inspiration and encouragement since I joined that I wanted to share this little success with you all - some of my quilts hanging in an exhibition in our local Art Centre http://www.themeetinghouse.org.uk/visual_arts/205.

I went to the Preview Party this afternoon and felt a little like an interloper amongst all the 'real' artists!

I must say though, I DID like the look of my stuff hanging there. :-D Mine are the pink and dark blue twisted cabin (Raspberry Ripple) the red and white 3D pinwheels (Moulins Rouges) and the Victorian Tumbling Blocks over the fireplace. Also the Toile de Jouy Warm Wishes draped over the unit in the centre of the room. They'll hang there until Christmas and with any luck, I may even sell something!

Aww thanks everyone. I felt a little bit responsible too - as if I was flying the flag for quilting as an art form. A big responsibility!
