    Wow! Beautiful work!! Love them all.....and MIGHT be able to aspire to the quilting on the first one...someday! Love the 4th one, red & white....how did you do the 3-D effect?

    It may have had two layers of batting in it but I don't think so... The background is linen, though, and I matched the thread to the linen so that the texture of the quilting became the focus rather than the quilting itself. Linen shows quilting beautifully, I've found. It can be a bit fiddly/stretchy, though, so you have to be super careful.

    The one above it had two layers of batting in places (I was experimenting with trapunto), which is why the unquilted sections puff out so much.
