some old scrappies
I was looking through my pix for something else and decided these should be in the scrappy album, but I could not find that thread.
If scraps are defined as things left over, the applique blocks were left over from other quilts. These were well received by local social workers for foster children. Both of the original quilts were for my DGD. I started the Hearts and Flowers wedding quilt for her when she was 3, on the theory that I would probably not be up to it when the time for it arose. My Ds and DDiL grabbed that quilt for their bed, until I commented that it was NOT THEIRS.

Thank you for posting this. I have a lot of machine embroidered applique blocks that for one reason or another didn't make it into the intended quilt and this looks like an excellent way not to let them go to waste!f
