Default Some Quilted Bags

I don't normally make bags because it's not my forte, but when my DDs started taking piano lessons and my quilting bag ripped all in the same week, I decided to try it again.

The first bag is the piano lesson bag. I found the pattern at my LQS and loved the bright fabrics that they used in their kit, but I bought different fabrics to make it music themed. It is supposed to have another pocket on the front, on top of the other pocket, but with it just being a piano bag, I left it alone. I didn't think they would ever use it and I didn't want to cover up the music note fabric.

The second bag is my new quilting bag. It's a Double Diamonds Tote Bag. The bag is slightly open in the first picture, giving you a peek of the lining fabric, which is the same, dotted, batik fabric that's on the front. The second picture is a close up of the diamonds (made with the Double Diamonds Ruler) and the third picture is of the back of the tote and the zippered pouch. There is an interior pocket (without a zipper), but I didn't post a picture of that.

Oh these are awesome bags. I have not gotten into trying one as yet, even have a kit from Connecting Threads and still have not taken the plunge. Thanks for sharing and telling about them.
