I think some other color than white for sashing. I think that sashing would definitely define the blocks. However, your quilt, your choice, I like it both ways, but I personally prefer sashing. I think black would set it off. If you have some black bias tape, lay it along the blocks before you buy black fab. and see how you like that. When I'm not sure, I try colored bias tape to see what I might like, then purchase fabric saves $$$. I use my digital camera when I am trying to decide. I always take pics. of different set ups then I can tell what I want and remember how I laid the blocks out. I have found that viewing it through a camera eye is a big help to me.You might try laying the blocks so that all of the same colored blocks are going in a diagonal directions making a line down the quilt without sashing and see how that looks. gives you a different design. Also make them form a diamond with the colors. Just a thought.

Hi, why not try putting 4 blocks together giving you an 8x8 block and then sashing...I think that would lookk amazing...only my opion and it's not my quilt...love the colours and pattern though and a quilt always looks so different once quilted

I like the first one. No sashing in my humble opinion.

I think black sashing would really define it

I did a quilt last year that was a Bear Paw with dark solids and prints using the same color as the solid. I used a white-on-white fabric for sashing between the Bear Paw blocks and didn't really like it. Too much of a stark contrast, I think. But I quilted it with thread that matched the Bear Paws and that toned down the contrast. I was happy with the end result. Although I think your white sashing is kind of "washed out" looking, the color of your quilting thread can make a huge difference. I also like the 16 or 24 block suggestions.
