Been there, done that! Don't worry about it. It's a beautiful quilt! My husband often tells me no one is going to see the mistakes that I try so hard to avoid or fix. Others will just see a beautiful quilt. And you know, he's right! Enjoy your quilt! I like blue, tan, or cream for the binding.

Your error adds interest to the quilt and wouldn't see it as such unless you point it out. Lovely quilt and I think tan or cream binding would finish it off very nicely.

It's not something that I have made if there isn't at least one mistake. Makes them unique!!! Just say it your signature, no one will ever know the difference. I personally would use the solid red (around block) as your binding.

oh - and any suggestions on color of binding?
that's the way you wanted it,adds character,i love it

It looks great! One of a kind! I would use some of the red for binding...with, maybe, a small white square once in a while  :P !

It's a beautiful quilt and I wouldn't worry about the mistake either - I really had to look hard to "find" it, and besides you want to keep it anyway. I would put a cream binding, the quilt being darker, it would enhance it, sort of giving it a "face-lift"!!!

Oh, that's a great mistake! Looks intentional. I always love a red binding.
