Cindy,

i all ready have done the trapunto work with the blocks. I did that before I assembled all the blocks. And I'm going to quilt this one with cross hatches in the blocks, echoing the borders, and then I'll have to decided what to do with the outer borders. I used a very high loft batting for the trapunto work; I was afraid that the wool/cotton batting would not give me enough lift. I still might do the wool/cotton to get a trapunto effect for the decorative borders. Depends on on much energy I have when sandwiching and the quilting on my Janome 7700. I've got the top done and I'm going to rest on this one for a while as I'm looking for ideas for the outer borders.

Wowwwww! That is fabulous. It's so dramatic. Did you piece the sashings or is that the print??

I bought this pattern and kit at Southwest Decoratives in Albuquerque New Mexico. I wish it was my own design and that I choose the fabric. When I was in Albuquerque I spent over 6 hours total at this store with two visits. The staff is wonderful and a delight to work with. Below is the link to find this pattern/kit. Just a side note, I'm just a happy customer.
