I have a friend who has a bone cancer that is not curable. She had received stem cell treatment a few years ago and it gave her 3 years of being cancer free. The cancer came back earlier this year and they told her that she would need the stem cell again. She was suposed to have the stem cell at the begaining of the summer but unfortunatly she has had several medical set backs and has been unable to get the stem cell.

My church quilt club (which she is apart of) deiced to make her a quilt. I had the pleasure of quilting it this weekend and I hope that this quilt will bring her YEARS of comfort

We had to be sneaky becuase she is a member of the quilt club so we had to pass it off to members for each stage so she wouldnt know

She has the brightest out look of anyone I know. She felt it was a blessing that she got 3 years as they told her when she had the first round that she would get a year and a half. She she feels she got double. I just lover her bright outlook. Not mad but blessed.

Your friend will be so happy to receive this quilt. I love the color combination....almost scrappy but not quite. It is so difficult to face this, but God is there every step of the way. Draw strength from her beautiful outlook and later you can help her by giving that strength back. Smile, cry, laugh together while you can and know that others are thinking of you and praying for you both. As Christ says so often in His Book, "May Peace be with you."

Our prayers go out to your friend. Your quilt is beautiful and it will give pleasure to her knowing that your group created it just for her.

The quilt is wonderful. It is full of comfort in the love that went into the making and the colors that are both comforting and cheerful.
