there is a bit of a funny story attached to this quilt - the pattern asked for approx 4 yds of various fabrics - so I looked at all the odds and ends of fabric I wanted to use and thought there is no way I can work out if I have enough BUT I did have a 1/2 yard complete - so out came the kitchen scales and I weighed the 1/2 yard and with that weight worked out how heavy 4 yards would be and then added enough fabric to bring it up to 4 yards - the fabric was all from the same range and ta da - it worked!!!
Not the best photo though need to improve my photography skills

Very nice quilt and clever of you to figure this out. I want to make one of these and this encourages me to move forward. Thank you for sharing.

I have one in black almost finished. Really like the white too! I got side tracked with quilts for Japan, then mothers day quilt, now tornado victims. Someday I ll finish it. It took along time to piece, mine is queen size.
