Ironically enough, I chose the rose colored batik print as the inspiration and borders for this batik split rail. However, I really dislike it and now have decided to scrap the pink altogether and just border and bind with purple....which means getting out the seam ripper!

You are right -- the pink does not work. The rest is beautiful, however!

I like how it looks with the small bit of pink showing. There is pink in the quilt. Maybe you could cut the pink boarder smaller and add the purple to it.

I agree with Heather, how about a 1/2" border of the pink then the purple? sure would save a lot of ripping plus I like the little bit of pink

That is a good suggestion, and I second that motion. Easier to cut some off, than to do all that ripping. Love the quilt itself, and it will really pop with the purple border. I love purple.

I agree with the others. Having a thin inner border of the pink makes everything else sparkle even more. Beautiful quilt!
