Default "Standard Treadle" and "Happy Dance"

For yrs I've passed up buying treadles due to their weight. My thing is now "if I can't lift it I don't buy it"...I've had enough heavy furniture pieces over the yrs and I'm thru.
Well, that ended the other day when I was antiquing and found a Standard treadle marked 75.00. I did the lift test and walked away but that baby was on my mind for the rest of the day and night. Went to bed thinking abt it and woke thinking abt it. Hubby didn't comment one way or another.
I decided to do research on the machine since I have many vintage Singers but no other brands. I didn't find much as allot of you know who have them (read all your posts).
I was able to show my hubby a photo from this site that one of the quilters had that was similar...He really thought at that pt I should go back and buy it.
So back I went to give it another once over...found from previous experience that the bobbin case was missing and know how costly that would be to replace. Graphics were mint, no scratches or wear...Some work needed on the wood table but been there done that before...plus the table itself wasn't overly big like some singers I've passed up...so now how much can I try to get this for.
Seller happen to be in the place his best offer was 65...I pointed out the issues and explained how much a bobbin case would be and offered 55...he took it...I had them dismantle it put it in the car in pieces.
So all I had to do is find a bobbin case, get new belt, oil and grease. Sounded simple until this morning when I read more posting and how impossible it was going to be to find a bobbin case. So I'm thinking I have a conversation piece...UGH...
I unload it from the car and notice the patent front plate is missing...how'd I miss that...another UGH...
I go out to clean up the wood table part before bringing that into the hse...old dust from the 1800's...
and thru the hole inside I see a flat piece of something...I reach in and it's the patent plate...I'm so happy, running in to my husband waving "I found it"...
Now if only God would let me find the bobbin case...joking...I go back out and I have it on it's side and the top cover swings open so I go to close it and I see something else stuck in a corner...reach in and OH MY GOD...thank you...It's the Bobbin case with a bobbin in it...I couldn't run in fast enough to show my hubby...I'm one happy quilter with a machine that now just needs the belt, oil and grease...
as a joke later on I ran in again yelling I found a million $....if only...

I have bought two Singer featherweight machines and needed bobbins and parts and found them on Ebay. I bought extra belts, bobbins, needles, etc on Ebay at very reasonable prices. You might try there to get your belt. Love, love, love your machine by the way! Great find and fantastic price.
