Star Pillow Top Quilted
I made this pillow top to test out some designs I want to use on a quilt I am ready to start quilting. It will finish at 18" square. I had fun trying out some new designs on this one!

And a pic of the back so you can see all the quilting. The grid designs in the outer corners are something I learn from a Jamie Wallen DVD I just bought recently. I actually bought several of his DVD's and am LOVING them so far!

Love it! But the gridwork quilting is does not show on the front of your star, is it just the way it is photographed? I love it on the back though. I would almost be half tempted to do this a high contrast thread so it shows up like it does on the back. Thanks also for the feedback on the DVD.

You're right, the gridwork doesn't show well enough on the front, although it is more visible than in the pictures. I actually plan to do that gridwork design in some white-ish blocks on the quilt with either light/med blue or green thread so it will show up much better. It's a lot of work to do those tiny grid designs and I want them to show! LOL
